Lifelong interests in nature and art led me to careers in evolutionary biology and scientific illustration. As a scientific illustrator, I document and communicate science and natural history through art. I strive to make science and nature more accessible through illustration and design for scientists, educators, and the general public. 

 

My work appears in a variety of scientific communications from public education campaigns to detailed descriptions of biological species new to science. Commissioned illustrations appear in peer-reviewed scientific publications, laboratory manuals, museum exhibits, public education materials, instruction books, posters, logos, and private collections.

 

Currently, I am working as a freelance scientific illustrator in Durham, North Carolina, USA.
